AMF Fastigheter has chosen to implement a new comprehensive solution from Stratsys. The solution brings together the work with information security, data protection, IT continuity, system management and cyber due diligence (CDD) in a single support. This gives the company a solid foundation for meeting future requirements and strengthening security work on a broad front, from internal processes to external relations.
From Fragmented Ways of Working to a Common Structure
Previously, much of the security and compliance work was done in different tools, Excel sheets and manual processes. This made it difficult to get a clear overview, coordinate efforts between different parts of the organization and ensure follow-up over time.
- We lacked coherent IT support. There was no really clear or easy-to-use system that could help us plan, administer and follow up our security work in an effective way. It was both inefficient and difficult to get an overall picture," says Mikael Österberg, IT Manager at AMF Fastigheter.
With Stratsys, AMF Fastigheter now has a common support that creates an overview and simplifies coordination.
- The biggest advantage is that we get a common structure. It reduces the risk of something falling through the cracks and makes it easier to manage dependencies, follow up actions and coordinate work between different functions.

Stronger Control over the Supply Chain
The implementation will also take into account the supplier perspective by enabling supplier checks in the tool to increase security in the supply chain. As part of the collaboration, AMF Fastigheter will also have access to technical scans of suppliers through Stratsys' extended functionality in connection with the MSB-funded project together with Intil. The scans will show indications of risks such as data theft, fraud and ransomware.
- Bringing the third-party perspective into the same system is a big plus for us. It strengthens our work with supplier monitoring and gives us better insights into the risks further down the chain," says Mikael Österberg.
Ready for NIS2 - Regardless of Application
Although it is still unclear whether commercial real estate companies will be covered by the Swedish application of the NIS2 directive, AMF Fastigheter sees the value in acting proactively.
- Even though we may not be directly covered, we still want to work in line with what NIS2 advocates. Stratsys will support us in implementing relevant cybersecurity measures and meeting future requirements and expectations.
