The Stratsys platform provides access to numerous features and functionalities, which users can gain access to by receiving additional roles.
Overview
Many of our Stratsys features and functionalities can be accessed through our platform. To gain access to these functionalities, you will need an additional role, which can be added per user in the platform administration.
You can access the platform administration through the user administration in the database.
Please note that this role does not provide the ability to add platform roles for other users.
Please note that you still need to have Local Administrator permissions within Stratsys to access the administration menu.
Roles for user administration
In the Stratsys platform, there are two roles that grant access to additional features and functionalities. These roles are meant to supplement existing permissions and cannot be used to grant roles to other users.
Note: An administrator can no longer automatically add, remove, or impersonate a user in Stratsys. They need to obtain the "User Administrator" or "Super Administrator" role in the platform to enable this functionality.
User Administrator Role - Limited Platform Authorization
This role is recommended for local administrators who need to manage users. However, if you only need to add extra permissions for existing users, this role is not necessary.
With this role, you gain access to the following functionalities:
- Add, edit, and remove users.
- Impersonate users with lower permissions than your own.
Role Super Administrator - access to all parts of the platform
This role is recommended for global / full administrators who will also be able to handle all platform settings and Enterprise features.
With this role, you will have access to the following functionalities:
- Add, edit, and remove users.
- Impersonate users.
- Single Sign-On (SSO) settings
- Security settings
- Login statistics
- Email domains
- Language & contact
- Advisor (rekommendationer för er uppsättning)
- Enterpriseinställningar om ni har det - Extra databaskopior, AD-synk, granskningslogg, User insights, utvecklingsportal mm.
User Provisioner Role
The purpose of this role is to support the migration of Meetings and their "organizers" who currently have the ability to add users.
- This role grants permissions to support the creation of new users without roles, but nothing else. It does not provide authorization to change passwords, names, or assign roles.
