How to use the search engine

Search engine

You can always export a report for the individual reporting entity that you are on in the Stratsys. However, if you want to compile information by heading or unit based on all reporting units, you need to use the search engine.

The Search engine allows you to easily and efficiently get the compilations of what different units have written around different sections. Instead of sitting with printed reports from different units and looking up the requested sections, or cutting and pasting from multiple word, you can select the sections you want to analyze and from which units. A summary report is then generated in a single document.

If you are going to write a compilation based on the writings of several units, the search engine is an effective tool. The search engine can also be used to create merged reports of several unit-size templates with common front page and table of contents.

You can find the search engine by clicking on the double arrow on the left side of a report, the report is then expanded to show additional functionality such as the search engine which is located in the top right corner.

Clear reports -reports that have been sent to finished in the reporting process see the image above

Searchable reports -reports that are in reporting mode thus the penultimate step in the image above.

How to use the search engine

To use the search engine, first click the name of the report, then click Clear reports Or Searchable reports.

Step 1 – Select units

Choose which units you want to search information from. The units that are visible on the page are the units that have received the report template. If a unit is grayed out, it means that the report is not ready and you can't perform a search on the unit yet. Learn more about settings for the report's Readability. Select units and confirm your selection by clicking the button Next In the bottom right.

Step 2 – Grouping
Here are two different options for grouping the search results:

  • Group the results by heading – The selected entities become master entities in the search results, and under them, the selected headings are displayed from the report template
  • Include top-level Enhetstillagda headings -If you selected the option Grouping the results per unit So you get the opportunity to get the unit-size headlines that are on the top unit level, ie. The entity that the report template is created on.
  • Grouping the results per unit -The selected headings from the report template become the main headings with the reporting text from each unit as subheadings.

Click the Next button at the bottom right to confirm your selections.

Step 3 – Select section
Now you see all the titles, text sections, and tables that are included in the report template. To select which sections to include in your search, select the check boxes next to the sections. To select All, click on the button Select All Top. When you are satisfied with your selections, click on the button Generate At the bottom to create the result.

Step 4-Export to Word
Your search results will now appear on the screen. To export the results to Word, click the Export In the top right.

The following settings can be made before the export:

  • Select Word Template – In the list, select the Word template that you want the export to be based on.

  • Include Table of Contents — Select the check box if you want a table of contents to be automatically generated.

  • Include headers without associated text or table -Here you select whether the headlines are for example A report partly collected parts will be shown in the Exporterten.
