Reports

The report is locked for final editing – how can I unlock it again?

If a report is locked for final editing, the user who locked the report needs to unlock it. However, administrators also have the ability to unlock it.

It is possible to lock a report for final editing, which means that the user who checks the box becomes the only one who can make edits in the report. However, this can sometimes cause issues if other reporters are not yet finished writing in the report or need to make changes afterward.

A report is locked for final editing via the checkbox shown below:

When a report is locked, you can see in the same upper-right corner which user checked the "Final edit lock" checkbox. That user—or a full administrator—will need to unlock the report using the same checkbox.

What if we can’t reach the user who locked the report?
If the user who locked the report is unavailable, a person with the permission to Create and administer reports (for the relevant product) can unlock the report instead.

If you are a user, see how to find your nearest contact here: Help and contact for users.
