The formatting or reading order is incorrect when exporting to PDF from Stratsys
Our review shows inaccuracies in the exported PDF document—what can we do?
Unfortunately, Microsoft Word's built-in PDF engine has notable limitations in stability when converting from Word to PDF. As a result, this also affects PDF exports from Stratsys, which rely on the same PDF engine.
To work around these issues, you can try the following:
-
Create a Web Report, if the use case allows. Stratsys' Accessibility Adaptation will then apply to the report.
-
Export to Word first, then review and adjust all formatting settings to ensure the report looks correct. After that, try converting the document to PDF.
Note: The result will likely be similar to before, but it’s worth testing.
-
Export to Word, then convert the file to PDF using a different program such as https://www.libreoffice.org/ which offers a more stable PDF engine.
As shown in the image example:
-
The top version is how Microsoft interprets the PDF
-
The bottom version is how LibreOffice renders it—better interpreted by screen readers.
