Here we gather frequently asked questions about Stratsys’ work on web accessibility
How does Stratsys work with accessibility?
Stratsys actively and continuously works to ensure and improve accessibility. Several external audits have been conducted and followed up with corrective measures. The system supports individually tailored configurations to accommodate users with specific needs. Workflows with screen readers are tested on a recurring basis, and some users have independently used the system with screen readers for several years. Reported issues that affect a user's ability to work independently are treated with high priority.
Where can I read about the current accessibility level and exceptions?
You can primarily find information about our current accessibility level and exceptions in our accessibility statement, which is continuously updated.
If you find that information relevant to your interest is missing, or if you have other questions regarding accessibility compliance, you can contact us at accessibility@stratsys.com.
How are accessibility deviations registered?
Accessibility deviations should be handled in the same way as other issues. Therefore, they should be reported as an error/bug using the standard process via our Help Center.
Who is responsible for ensuring compliance with the Web Accessibility Directive?
As a third-party provider, Stratsys has, to the extent possible, made adjustments to our products, services, and features to support our customers in ensuring that their digital and public content is accessible, while minimizing manual intervention.
However, Stratsys does not take responsibility for ensuring that the content created within Stratsys—when made public or digital—is adapted to the required accessibility standards. One example is our report functionality, where the content is editorial and created by users, allowing for customizations (for example, cover pages).
Additionally, it is the customer’s responsibility to ensure the use of plain language in instructions, relevant alt-texts for graphs and image objects in documents, and to verify their accessibility.
As a provider, we therefore cannot guarantee that a report automatically complies with legal requirements. Customers must have their own procedures and processes in place to ensure that content intended for public or digital publication meets the legal accessibility standards.
How do we proceed if an individual needs an accessibility-adapted setup?
Stratsys supports and has experience with individually tailored setups based on the specific needs of individual users. When making such adaptations, we ensure that the entire workflow includes the necessary features for the person to work effectively in the tool.
Contact us at Stratsys for more information about consulting on individually customized setups.
